Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Server to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensuring a memorable dining experience. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. Previous experience in a restaurant environment is preferred, along with a passion for hospitality and guest satisfaction.

Duties

Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are noted
Serve meals and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
Ensure food safety standards are adhered to at all times
Assist in food preparation when necessary, supporting kitchen staff as required
Clear tables promptly and reset for new guests to maintain smooth service flow
Handle guest queries professionally, providing excellent customer service throughout their visit
Maintain cleanliness of service areas, including tables, counters, and beverage stations
Manage cash transactions accurately using the POS system

Experience

Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is highly desirable
Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling procedures
Experience in serving or food preparation within a busy environment
Basic maths skills for handling payments and bills accurately
Familiarity with kitchen operations or culinary experience is an advantage
Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently during service periods
Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour
Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest satisfaction and sales performance

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From £12.71 per hour
