RECRUITING IN CUMBRIA AND LANCASHIRE

GENERAL BUILDER / LABOURER

We are looking to recruit a General Builder / Labourer to join our team.

W G Brownlie Ltd has been established for over 50 years as Joiners and Building Contractors. We are renowned for outstanding design and quality craftsmanship.

We specialise in new builds, house extensions and loft, barn and basement conversions. Embracing modern technologies and processes, we aim to keep our services as environmentally friendly as possible.

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking individual who takes pride in their work and shares our commitment to maintaining high standards.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced General Builder / Labourer to join our team, working on a variety of building projects throughout Cumbria and Lancashire.

This is a hands-on and varied role and would suit someone with good all-round building/site experience who is happy to turn their hand to different aspects of the job.

Duties will include general building and labouring work, assisting other trades on site, moving and handling materials, keeping sites organised and other duties as required.

Experience of operating a telehandler would be an advantage.

Skills & Experience

Previous experience working within the building/construction industry
Good general building and labouring skills
Experience and confidence operating a telehandler
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication skills
Reliable, hardworking and able to use your own initiative
Keen attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Flexibility to work on different projects and sites as required

Job Type

Full-time Permanent – Immediate Start

Hours

Monday to Thursday: 08.00 – 16.30

Friday: 08.00 – 16.00

40 hours per week

Pay

£15.00 – £20.00 per hour, depending on experience and skills.

Full driving licence preferred
