Job Title: Multi Drop Van Driver
Location: Burgess Hill

Summary of Role

We are looking for a reliable and professional Transport Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and timely collection, transportation, and delivery of shipments, materials, products, and medical samples. You will play a key role in maintaining service excellence, ensuring shipments are handled in accordance with operational procedures, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.

Responsibilities

Complete pickup and delivery activities in line with assigned schedules and service requirements.
Verify shipment details and obtain relevant signatures or proof of delivery.
Transport materials, products, and medical samples safely and securely.
Follow planned routes, temperature control requirements, and transportation regulations.
Communicate delivery progress, delays, and shipment issues promptly.
Support loading, unloading, packaging, and labelling activities.
Monitor vehicle condition and report maintenance requirements.
Assist with specialised transport assignments, including airport, transfer-point, and hand-to-hand deliveries.

Skills and Knowledge

Valid UK driving licence with a strong safety record.
Experience in a delivery, transport, courier, or logistics role.
Good understanding of transport and road safety regulations.
Ability to accurately complete transport documentation and records.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Ability to follow procedures and maintain attention to detail.
Capability to work independently and manage changing priorities.

Desirable

Experience transporting healthcare, pharmaceutical, or medical products.
Knowledge of temperature-controlled transportation requirements.
Familiarity with proof of delivery systems and handheld devices.
Experience working within regulated logistics environments.
Understanding of shipment tracking and route planning processes.
Previous involvement in specialist or time-critical delivery services.
Knowledge of packaging and labelling requirements for transported goods.
Experience supporting airport or transfer-point logistics operations.

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required. Less than 2 years of experience in transportation, logistics, courier operations, delivery services, or a related field required. Certification in dangerous goods awareness, licensure in operation of the applicable vehicle class, cold chain handling, or equivalent required.
