Full job description

Part time position 3 days (no less)

Monday 8:30-7pm

Tuesday 8:30-6pm

Wednesday 8:30-6pm

*The reception job involves working alone as there is only space at reception for 1 person at a time*

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and reliable Dental Receptionist to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently.

This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice and creating a welcoming environment for our patients.

*Experience working in a busy dental environment is an advantage*

Duties

Greet patients warmly as they arrive and assist them with check-in procedures.
Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring optimal use of the dentist's time.
Manage patient records, including updating information and maintaining confidentiality.
Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries with professionalism and clarity.
Process payments and handle billing inquiries accurately.
Coordinate with dental staff to ensure seamless patient flow throughout the practice.
Maintain a clean and organised reception area, ensuring all materials are stocked and accessible.

Qualifications/ Skillls

Previous office experience is essential, preferably in a healthcare or dental setting.
Strong administrative skills with proficiency in using computer systems and software applications.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
A positive attitude and the ability to work well within a team are crucial for success in this role. *First 2 weeks will be supervised training if required. *

Please note this job requires you to work on reception on your own after training due to only 1 receptionist chair space available at the front desk.

Knowledge of SOE and dental experience is a preferred advantage
