Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Roofing Labourer to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will assist with various roofing projects, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills within the construction industry, working alongside experienced professionals on diverse roofing assignments. The position involves physically demanding tasks and requires a proactive attitude towards safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems in accordance with project specifications.
Handle and operate hand tools, power tools, and specialised roofing equipment safely and effectively.
Support the preparation of materials and ensure proper organisation on-site to facilitate smooth workflow.
Carry out heavy lifting of roofing materials such as tiles, shingles, insulation boards, and metal sheets.
Follow schematics and technical drawings to ensure accurate placement of roofing components.
Assist with fabrication tasks including cutting and shaping materials as required for specific projects.
Support carpentry, masonry, plumbing, or welding tasks when necessary to complete roofing projects efficiently.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines whilst ensuring quality standards are upheld.

Skills

Experience or familiarity with schematics, welding, carpentry, masonry, plumbing, or fabrication is advantageous.
Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to roofing work.
Previous construction or roofing experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a physically demanding environment.
Good organisational skills with an eye for detail to ensure precise installation work.
Strong teamwork ethic coupled with excellent communication skills.
Awareness of health and safety procedures related to construction sites.
Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different project requirements.
