More Information

Skyborne Airline Academy are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail oriented individual to support the day‑to‑day financial operations within the aviation sector. You will play a crucial role in maintaining financial records, supporting month‑end processes, and working collaboratively within a small Finance team.

Responsibilities

Process purchase ledger invoices and expenses + ensure correct Nominal Ledger coding.
Process Sales Ledger Invoices.
Ensure that all invoices are appropriately approved.
Assist with monthly cash flow forecast.
Manage regular payment runs and ad-hoc payments using Online Banking.
Process monthly accruals and prepayments journals.
Manage monthly intercompany reconciliation.
Deal with supplier queries and reconcile supplier statements.
Assist with production of month end and year end reconciliations.
Manage payment runs using Online Banking.
Process Bank and credit card reconciliations.
Recommend improvements in efficiencies to systems.
Monitor the Finance department email inbox and respond to queries.
Assist with external audit queries.

Qualifications

AAT Level 4 qualified (desirable).
Highly motivated team player, able to work collaboratively within a small Finance team.
Able to embrace organisational values and policies.
Experienced in prioritising a high workload and able to flex and adapt during peak periods.
Strong experience with accounting packages and small business accounting software.
Experienced with Microsoft office, specifically Excel.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Able to adapt a proactive approach to problem solving.
Well organised and analytical.
