Job Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Level 2 Swimming Teacher to join our vibrant aquatic education team. In this role, you will deliver engaging, safe, and effective swimming lessons to students of various ages and skill levels, focusing on developing their confidence and technical skills in the water. Your energy and passion for teaching will inspire learners to achieve their swimming goals while ensuring a positive and enjoyable experience. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on our community’s aquatic skills and safety.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver structured swimming lessons tailored to students’ individual abilities and learning objectives
Demonstrate proper swimming techniques, safety procedures, and water confidence-building exercises
Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching methods accordingly
Maintain a safe environment by enforcing pool rules and supervising all activities during lessons
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and team members to support ongoing development
Assist in setting up equipment, maintaining pool cleanliness, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards
Participate in ongoing training sessions to enhance your teaching skills and stay current with industry best practices

Requirements

Proven sports coaching experience or background in teaching or instructing others in a physical activity setting
Level 2 swimming teaching qualification and safeguarding
Previous experience as a swimming instructor or coach is highly desirable
Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage learners of all ages
Certification in lifesaving, first aid, and CPR
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed
Passion for teaching, water safety, and helping others succeed in the pool
Weekend priority
