Overview

We're looking for a talented Social Media Executive to help our clients connect with their audiences, build communities, and deliver impactful social media campaigns backed by insight and creativity.

The Social Media Executive will combines strategic thinking with exceptional content creation expertise, helping to shape our next stage of our growth. You'll take ownership of social media activity across a range of clients, developing strategies and ensuring content consistently drives engagement and measurable results.

This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on with content creation and optimisation. You'll have the autonomy to test new ideas, influence client outcomes, and play a key role in shaping both our clients' success and the future direction of GEL Studios' content offering.

What you'll be doing.

In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with teams to deliver social content that’s both strategically sound and creatively sharp. Your day-to-day will include:

Develop and implement social media strategies aligned with business objectives.
Create, schedule, and publish content across platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube.
Manage day-to-day social media activity and community engagement.
Work with our team to create compelling copy, images and videos.
Contributing to and executing the GEL Studios marketing strategy.
Interpreting performance data to inform content decisions.
Take part in client retainer meetings, translating actions into clear deliverables.

The ideal candidate is someone who has at least two years of solid experience (in-house or agency).

Is comfortable with agency pace: confidently managing multiple accounts in a performance-led environment.
Owns your work end-to-end: from the first idea through to delivery, measurement, and iteration.
Understand how to engage and build audiences: shape ideas, and turn strategy into compelling social content.
Has exceptional attention to detail: with strong copywriting, proofreading, and editing skills.
Stays in command of multiple projects: managing deadlines and shifting priorities without losing clarity or quality.
Communicates with confidence: presenting ideas, strategies, and results clearly to clients
Works collaboratively: partnering with wider marketing teams to meet clients' business objectives.
Aims high: You care about standards, craft, and delivering work that genuinely performs.

Desirable skills.

Experience with paid social media advertising.
Experience using Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut or similar tools.
Experience creating and editing video content for social media.
Familiarity with social media scheduling and reporting tools.
Understanding of wider digital marketing principles.
