Job Description – Level 2 Swimming Teacher (Saturday)

Position: Level 2 Swimming Teacher
Location: Harlow, Essex
Hours: Saturdays, 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Employment Type: Part-time

About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Level 2 Swimming Teacher to join our team in Harlow. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about teaching swimming and helping children and adults develop confidence and essential water safety skills.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, safe, and enjoyable swimming lessons.
Teach swimmers of varying ages and abilities in line with the Swim England Learn to Swim Programme.
Monitor participants' progress and provide constructive feedback.
Maintain a safe learning environment by following all health and safety procedures.
Communicate professionally with parents, carers, and colleagues.
Complete lesson registers and any required administrative tasks.

Essential Requirements

Level 2 Swimming Teacher qualification (or equivalent recognised qualification).
Current DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A positive, energetic, and professional approach.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Desirable

Previous experience teaching group swimming lessons.
National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and Coaches (NRASTC) or an equivalent lifesaving qualification.
First Aid qualification.
