Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Junior <PERSON> to join our dynamic culinary team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about food preparation, kitchen management, and hospitality. The Junior <PERSON> will support senior chefs in daily kitchen operations, assist with food production, and ensure high standards of food safety and service. This position is ideal for those looking to develop their culinary skills within a professional environment.

Duties

Assist in food preparation and cooking to meet quality standards and presentation expectations
Support the supervision of food production processes, ensuring efficiency and consistency
Help manage kitchen operations, including organising ingredients and equipment for smooth workflow
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in accordance with food safety regulations
Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent customer service in hospitality settings
Support the training of junior staff and interns, fostering a positive team environment
Contribute to menu planning and development under guidance from senior chefs
Ensure compliance with health and safety policies at all times during food handling and preparation

Requirements

Previous experience in food production, kitchen work, or hospitality environments
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
Competence in food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary practices
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy kitchen setting
Leadership qualities with a proactive approach to problem-solving
Good communication skills to work collaboratively within a team
Experience in restaurant service or catering is advantageous
A genuine passion for culinary arts and hospitality industry standards
