Full job description

Job Summary

Kirkley & Pakefield Football Club is looking for enthusiastic and reliable Matchday Kitchen Assistants to join our friendly team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy, fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering great food and excellent customer service. Previous kitchen experience is welcome but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook simple takeaway food during matchdays and club events.
Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic kitchen at all times.
Follow food safety and hygiene procedures, including the correct storage and handling of ingredients.
Serve customers in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and report any faults or maintenance issues.
Support colleagues during busy periods to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly.
Help maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the shift.

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

Friendly, enthusiastic, and reliable.
Able to work well as part of a team.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Willing to learn and follow food safety procedures.
Flexible and available to work weekends and occasional evenings.

Experience

While previous experience in a kitchen, restaurant, café, or hospitality setting is an advantage, it isn't essential. We welcome applicants who have:

An interest in food preparation and customer service.
Good communication skills.
A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
An understanding of food hygiene and safety (desirable but not essential).
