Full job description

We are a long established industrial distributor who is looking to appoint an Accounts Office Manager with book keeping experience to take over the role from the Managing Director. This will release him to operate in the other areas of the business in the secure knowledge that the financial management of the company is in a safe pair of hands.

Your key responsibilities

· Credit control.

· Running of the office.

· Maintaining the Aged Debtors & Aged Creditors list.

· Processing purchase ledger invoices on our Merlin system.

· Query reporting & resolution.

· Posting monthly purchase journals.

· Entering supplier payments & customer receipts.

· Preparing & processing the month end Bacs payments.

· Bank reconciliation.

· PAYE & Payroll.

· Daily management of the online platform financial processes.

· Nominal ledger journals & reconciling control accounts.

· Maintaining budget accounts.

· Monthly management accounts.

· VAT returns.

· Month & year end processing.

· Producing required reports & analysis for the Directors.

· Ad hoc duties.

. knowledge of SQL procedures for price increases & procedures

Your expected experience

· Minimum of 3 years bookkeeping experience to AAT level 2 or above

or other relevant qualification

· Proficient in Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Your profile

You must be well organised, methodical & accurate in your work. You need to be able to follow the established fully computerised accounts processes & ensure that the high standards are maintained, whilst being confident that your own expertise can add value & enhance the overall department.
