Job Purpose:

The purpose of the Production Operative role is to assemble, inspect, and package medical products within a controlled cleanroom environment in line with strict quality, safety, and regulatory standards. The role supports the efficient operation of the production line to meet daily targets while ensuring all products meet required specifications. The post holder will contribute to maintaining compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and company procedures while promoting a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Assemble and package medical packs according to approved procedures, work instructions, and batch records
Operate and monitor production equipment and machinery safely and efficiently
Maintain strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Perform in-process quality checks and report any defects or non-conformities
Maintain cleanliness of work area and ensure compliance with Cleanroom protocols
Accurately complete production documentation
Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor immediately
You will also assist with general tasks in the Production environment
Ensure that local Quality Management System requirements, including Good Manufacturing Practice and Good Distribution Practice requirements are adhered to at all times.

Education, Qualifications and Training:

Essential

Good standard of general education

Desirable

Formal training in manufacturing, GMP, or quality systems

Skills/Knowledge

Essential

Good attention to detail and accuracy
Understanding of health and safety practices

Desirable

Knowledge of GMP or cleanroom procedures
Basic computer skills for documentation and data entry
Manual dexterity and ability to complete repetitive tasks

Experience

Essential

Experience of working in a fast-paced environment or able to demonstrate working under pressure
Experience of working as part of a team

Desirable

Previous experience in a manufacturing or cleanroom environment

Reliable and dependable with a strong work ethic
Ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
