Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Manager to oversee the day to day running and ensure the highest standards of service within our facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for animal care, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. This role is pivotal in maintaining a positive environment for both staff and customers while managing daily activities effectively.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise a team, ensuring all members are motivated and performing to their best abilities
Provide excellent customer service, addressing customer enquiries and concerns promptly and professionally
Ensure the welfare of animals in our care by implementing best practices in animal handling and care
Manage administrative tasks such as taking bookings, record keeping, reporting, and compliance with health and safety regulations
Assist with heavy lifting as required during the handling of animals or equipment.

Experience

Previous experience in a managerial role is essential, preferably within an animal care or veterinary setting
Strong background in customer service with the ability to resolve conflicts effectively
Experience with heavy lifting is necessary for this role due to the physical demands involved
A passion for animal welfare and confidence in animal handling is required
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required to interact with staff and clients effectively.
