Full job description

Ultralight Outdoor Gear is an established retailer of outdoor clothing and equipment for backpacking, trekking and adventure. Based on Teesside, the company evolved out of a passion for backpacking and a love of the outdoors with the idea to bring the best lightweight kit together under one virtual 'roof'.

We are currently recruiting an Accounts/Returns Administrator to join our team based in the North East of England. The primary focus is split between financial administration and returns processing whilst offering customer service support as required. The post holder will work alongside the Customer Service and Purchasing Teams, contributing to the day to day working and efficiency of the department.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

· Monitoring the accounts email inbox: printing invoices and responding to accounts related enquiries

· Data inputting of Purchase Invoices on Bright Pearl (Sage accounts system) and Admin (Excel Spreadsheet)

· Produce weekly payment run and provide remittance advice

· Monitor and check supplier statements

· Reconcile Admin to Bank Statement

· Liaise with Purchasing Team and suppliers regarding Purchase Order and invoice queries

· Liaise with Customer Service Team regarding warranty refunds from suppliers

· Process daily returns from customers: check products, return to stock and processing customer refunds

· Customer Service support will include answering telephone enquiries, replying to emails, communicating with couriers.

· The post holder may also be required to work in other departments from time to time.

Essential Requirements:

· Strong communicator

· High standard of numeracy and literacy

· IT Skills – Excel and Outlook

· Accurate record keeping

· Willingness to learn

· Extremely organised with a high attention to detail

· Ability to work unsupervised, as part of a team and with other departments

· Some accounting experience

Desirable Requirements:

· Enthusiastic about the outdoors

· Experience within the outdoor industry

· Experience within an online business

· Keen to be involved in wider opportunities such as hiking trips etc.

Working Relationships:

Accountable to: Customer Service Manager and Team Leader

Liaises with: Customer Service Team, Purchasing Team and other departments.

Position: Permanent, Full Time, 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £28,726

Location: Wynyard, Billingham

Full time: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

3. This position is 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday with occasional Saturday holiday cover.

4. This post is office based. No remote working is involved.
