Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Montessori Teacher to support our early childhood education programme. The ideal candidate will work closely with lead teachers to create a nurturing, organised, and stimulating environment for young children. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about childcare and early childhood development to gain valuable experience within a reputable Montessori setting. The role requires a proactive approach, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with children and team members alike.

Responsibilities

Assist lead teachers in implementing Montessori educational activities and lesson plans
Support the organisation and maintenance of classroom materials and resources
Supervise children during activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment that encourages children's independence and curiosity
Help with daily routines such as mealtimes, rest periods, and outdoor play
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to promote a collaborative learning atmosphere
Support behavioural management strategies in line with Montessori principles
Participate in staff meetings and ongoing professional development sessions

Skills

Experience in childcare or nursery settings, ideally within an early childhood education environment
Strong management and organisational skills to maintain classroom orderliness
Leadership qualities to guide children positively and support team efforts
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Working knowledge of child development principles and Montessori methodology
Ability to work collaboratively within a team of educators and support staff
Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting materials or attending off-site activities
Passionate about working with children, demonstrating patience, empathy, and enthusiasm for early childhood learning
