About The Role
We are excited to be recruiting a Maintenance/ Handy Person to join our team at the International Convention Centre Wales (ICC Wales).
This is a hands-on, varied role where you’ll help maintain our world-class venue to exceptional standards. You’ll carry out a range of tasks including basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and decorating work, ensuring a safe, functional and visually impressive environment for our guests and events.
Flexibility is key, as you’ll also support maintenance requirements during conferences and events.

What You’ll Be Doing

Carry out general maintenance, repairs, and decorating across ICC Wales
Complete basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work
Maintain the appearance and upkeep of the building
Ensure compliance with health & safety and company policies
Respond quickly to issues that may impact guest or staff safety
Support conferences and events with maintenance cover as needed
Take responsibility for tools, equipment, and stock control
Participate in audits, checks, and team briefings
Deliver a consistently high standard of customer service

What We’re Looking For

Experience in general maintenance or building work
Strong DIY and practical skills
A proactive, hands-on approach with attention to detail
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
A flexible approach to support operational and event requirements
Commitment to quality, safety, and service excellence

Desirable (but not essential)

NVQ or qualifications in a relevant building trade
