Full job description

We are currently seeking an experienced and highly proactive Site Manager to join Black Sheep Homes on a residential project in Swindon.

Black Sheep Homes is a UK main contractor specialising in the delivery of high-quality residential construction projects. We take full responsibility for project delivery from pre-construction coordination through to completion and handover, with a strong focus on programme certainty, quality, safety, and commercial control.

We are a growing business with a strong pipeline of residential developments across the UK, offering long-term opportunities for individuals who take ownership and pride in delivering well-managed sites.

Key Responsibilities:

Full day-to-day ownership of site operations from start to finish
Coordination and leadership of all subcontractors and site teams
Driving programme delivery and ensuring key milestones are achieved
Planning and sequencing work to maintain efficient site progress
Maintaining strict Health & Safety compliance (CDM regulations)
Ensuring high-quality workmanship and defect-free delivery standards
Reviewing and approving RAMS before works commence
Overseeing site security and welfare facilities
Leading site inductions and toolbox talks
Managing client, consultant, and building control visits
Monitoring site performance and reporting progress to the Project Manager
Reporting progress, risks, and resource requirements to senior management on a regular basis
Managing site logistics, coordination, and materials flow effectively
Ensuring clear communication across all site stakeholders

What we are looking for:

Proven experience as a Site Manager on residential construction projects (main contractor environment essential)
Highly proactive, hands-on approach with strong ownership of site delivery
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate, and drive site teams and subcontractors
Excellent communication skills, able to coordinate effectively across all levels (subcontractors, consultants, internal teams)
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple trades and priorities
Confident decision-maker with a strong focus on delivery, quality, and accountability
Good understanding of construction sequencing, RAMS, and site compliance
Full UK driving licence required
SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold), First Aid (preferred)
