Full job description

The BFI Film Academy welcomes 20 young people aged 16 to 19 to explore careers in film through industry talks, creative workshops and the production of a short film, which will be screened at HOME. In this role, you will support the organisation, administration and day-to-day delivery of the programme, helping participants to engage fully while developing valuable skills and industry knowledge.

The role includes a range of administrative responsibilities such as managing communications, supporting participant recruitment and enrolment, coordinating paperwork and resources, maintaining records and assisting with budget monitoring. You will also support workshop delivery, participant welfare and the documentation of activities throughout the programme.

This opportunity is ideal for someone with a keen interest in film, a desire to work with young people and communities, and an eagerness to develop practical experience within an arts and cultural organisation. We particularly welcome applications from people who are passionate about increasing access to opportunities in the screen industries and supporting underrepresented voices in film.

Due to the nature of the programme, evening and weekend working will be required as part of a flexible working pattern. Safeguarding training will be provided, and the successful applicant will be required to complete a DBS check.
