Full job description

Job Summary

Join our dynamic team as an Apprentice aluminium Fabricator and kick-start your career in metal fabrication! In this hands-on role, you will learn essential skills to assist in the creation and assembly of custom aluminium windows/doors . Under the guidance of experienced fabricators, you will develop your mechanical aptitude, gain proficiency with various tools and techniques, and contribute to the production of high-quality fabricated products. This paid apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to build foundational skills in a fast-paced, supportive environment while working on diverse projects that challenge and inspire you.

Duties

Assist senior fabricators with cutting, shaping, and assembling aluminium windows and doors using hand tools and power tools
Learn to operate cutting equipment, including CNC processes, to join metal parts accurately and safely
Support the fabrication process by measuring, marking, and preparing materials according to specifications
Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency during fabrication tasks
Participate in quality checks to ensure all jobs meet project standards and specifications
Follow safety protocols diligently while handling tools, machinery, and materials throughout the manufacturing process
Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks to ensure timely completion of projects

Requirements

Enthusiasm for learning about aluminium fabrication, and manufacturing processes
Basic understanding of mechanical concepts and familiarity with hand tools and power tools
Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and material handling
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety procedures at all times
Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Physical ability to stand, bend, lift moderate loads, and work in a manufacturing environment
