Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Caretaker to join our team.

You will be working alongside the Care Home Manager to ensure the Care Home provides a high level of health and safety for residents and visitors, as well as a comfortable working and living environment for all stakeholders.

The Caretaker will play a crucial, lead role in ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Duties

Maintain and oversee the functionality of equipment, ensuring all systems are operational.
Carry out repairs to ensure that the Care Home remains operational and maintains aesthetic requirements.
Perform routine inspections and maintenance on systems and equipment.
Maintain and oversight the decoration of the home, completing where required.
Provide exceptional customer service to clients and stakeholders, addressing any concerns promptly.
Read and interpret schematics and detailed documents to assist in troubleshooting and repairs.
Carry out maintenance checks and report any significant issues to management.
Documentation compliance, ensuring this is kept up to date.
Supporting and being available for external contractors.

Requirements

Proven experience in a caretaker or similar role, with a strong understanding of mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems.
Proficiency in reading schematics, technical manuals, and detailed documentation.
Strong customer service skills, with a focus on client satisfaction.
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong logical reasoning abilities.
Willingness to perform physical tasks as required by the role.
