Full job description

T3 Security is a leading provider of security and stewarding services across the North East. We deliver professional security solutions across sporting events, concerts, festivals, licensed premises, retail environments, and corporate venues.

Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit experienced and motivated SIA Door Supervisors to join our expanding team.

The Role

As a Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading and supervising licensed security teams, ensuring the safety and security of customers, staff, contractors, and property while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and customer service.

You will work closely with the Operations Team to ensure all security operations are delivered safely, effectively, and in accordance with company policies, legislation, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and lead SIA licensed security officers during shifts.
Conduct staff briefings, debriefings, and allocate duties.
Ensure all security personnel are deployed effectively and are carrying out their duties to the required standard.
Monitor access and egress points, search procedures, perimeter security, and licensed areas where required.
Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and customer concerns.
Manage conflict professionally and take appropriate action when required.
Ensure incidents are accurately recorded and reported.
Liaise with emergency services, and company management.
Ensure compliance with company procedures, licensing conditions, health and safety legislation, and site assignment instructions.
Carry out regular patrols and security inspections.
Support and mentor Security Officers, providing guidance and leadership throughout each shift.
Ensure high standards of customer service and professionalism are maintained at all times.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

Previous experience supervising security teams.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
The ability to remain calm and make effective decisions under pressure.
A professional, approachable, and customer-focused attitude.
Strong conflict management and problem-solving skills.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, nights, and bank holidays.
The right to work in the UK.

Essential Requirements

Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence.
Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role within the security industry.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Good understanding of security procedures, customer service, and health and safety.
Full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential).

Desirable Qualifications

First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid at Work qualification.
Level 3 Award in Supervising Security Staff (or equivalent).
Experience working at events, licensed premises, retail, or corporate security sites.
Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Private Security Industry Act 2001, Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, and Equality Act 2010.
