Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Dimensional Inspector / Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that fabricated components meet dimensional specifications and quality standards. You will play a vital part in maintaining product integrity in the fabrication processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality production while working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough dimensional inspections of fabricated structural steel such as rafters and columns etc using standard measuring tools such as tapes , angle finders etc whilst using a HoloLens for more complicated items (Full training will be given for the HoloLens)
Fabricate components by cutting, shaping, and assembling materials according to detailed technical drawings and work instructions
Maintain detailed inspection records, reports, and documentation to ensure traceability and quality assurance compliance
Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing waste and optimizing workflow efficiency

Skills

Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and measurement data accurately
Experience in a structural steel environment
Knowledge of quality assurance principles and practices to uphold high standards of craftsmanship and product safety
Effective communication skills for collaborating across teams and documenting inspection results clearly
Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities while maintaining a focus on safety and quality
HoloLens experience would be advantageous

Hours

06:00 - 16:30 - Monday - Thursday (4 day week)

Optional overtime available Fridays

Pay: £17.38 per hour
