Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Painter and Decorator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying paint, wallpaper, and other finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality workmanship and attention to detail. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential to commercial properties, contributing to creating aesthetically pleasing and durable environments.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling holes, and applying primers as necessary.
Apply paint, varnish, wallpaper, and other decorative finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
Ensure all work is completed to a high standard of quality and within specified timeframes.
Protect surrounding areas by covering floors, furniture, and fixtures during painting or decorating tasks.
Maintain tools and equipment in good condition and report any repairs needed.
Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress and requirements.
Follow health and safety regulations at all times during work activities.

Requirements

Proven experience in construction painting and decorating.
Valid driving licence preferred to facilitate travel between sites.
Good command of English with strong communication skills for liaising with clients and team members.
Ability to interpret technical drawings or instructions accurately.
Organised with excellent attention to detail to ensure a flawless finish on all projects.
Physical fitness to handle the demands of the role, including working at heights or in confined spaces if required.
A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Pay: £12.50-£13.00 per hour
