Job Description

Faribrook Medical Centre is a GP surgery is based in Borehamwood.

We are looking for a practice receptionist/administrator/care co-ordinator to work with our busy Fairbrook family team both in administration and reception.

The person needs to be flexible, approachable, have empathy and patient focused care. We are a total triage practice since September 2024 so phonecalls are much lower and our patients are much happier as appointments are now available.

He/She/They need to have a positive mental attitude and a lot of smiles!! We have a great workforce team.

Main Duties(but not limited):

Booking and cancelling appointments accurately
Dealing with patients over the phone, via text, email, NHS app, NHS computer systems and face to face
Communicating & liaising with the Clinical Team
Taking messages, requests and records/ pass information accurately
Scanning, Texting, Tasks, Referrals, Emailing and sorting post
Overseeing patient appointments
Ensure reception/waiting areas are clean and tidy
Repeat prescriptions via a protocol
Liasing with Pharmacists, Pharmacies, and all clinical staff in the practice
Registrations and online access
Administration of notes in and out
Taking messages, requests and records/ pass information accurately
Learning to signpost patients into the various appointments pathways
Working in the Reception, Triage team, Secretary and Admin teams
Triage training, fast pace and working closely with clinical staff. - will be a higher hourly rate.

We are looking for 5 days Monday - Friday 8.00am- 4.30pm 37.5 hrs Working with the team in the surgery and NOT WFH. Covering in Reception, Total Triage, Secretarial and Administration teams of all roles. Flexibility to cover other shifts if needed. Our Care Coordinators are great multitaskers.

Job Type: Full-time 37 hrs

Salary: £12.71 April 26 starting salary. At 6 month, once trained in the total triage, our higher skilled care coordinators get a higher hourly rate.
