About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and organised Admin Assistant to join our team based in Bournemouth, Dorset on a part-time, term-time-only basis, working Thursdays and Fridays, with the possibility of providing ad hoc cover on other days as needed.

This is a varied and rewarding role at the heart of our organisation, providing vital administrative support across a range of functions.

You will be the first point of contact for visitors and callers, covering reception duties whilst also delivering high-quality administrative support to our wider team.

Key Responsibilities

Covering reception, welcoming visitors, and managing incoming calls in a professional and friendly manner
Providing comprehensive administrative support to staff and leadership teams
Maintaining accurate records and filing systems, both digital and paper-based
Supporting the team with correspondence, scheduling, and general office tasks
Working collaboratively across departments to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
Offering flexibility to provide additional cover on days outside of your contracted hours, where required

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in an administrative or office-based role
Knowledge and understanding of SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) processes and terminology
Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
Excellent communication skills — both written and verbal
Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities
A professional, empathetic, and confidential approach to sensitive information
Reliable, self-motivated, and a true team player
Flexibility to support the team with ad hoc cover on other days when needed

What We Offer

A competitive salary of £25,989 full time equivalent
16 hours per week, term time only, working Thursdays and Fridays
A supportive and friendly working environment
