Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a professional HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods on site at EKFB HS2 . This role requires a strong focus on safety, punctuality, and excellent driving skills, particularly with flatbed vehicles. The position offers an opportunity to work within a reputable organisation committed to high standards of service delivery.

Responsibilities

Operate HGV Class 1 flatbed in compliance with all legal and safety regulations.
Site movements to specified destinations in a timely and secure manner.
Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and report any defects or issues.
Secure loads effectively using appropriate equipment to prevent movement during transit.
Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding schedules and any delays.
Adhere strictly EKFB site restrictions, rules and site routes.
Assist with loading and unloading goods when necessary, ensuring proper handling procedures are followed.
Follow all health and safety protocols to ensure personal safety and that of colleagues.

Requirements

Valid HGV Class 1 licence
Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed loads and delivery operations.
Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for secure load handling.
Ability to work independently, demonstrating reliability and professionalism at all times.
Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members.

Please note this role is driving on-site not on the public road network 10 hour day shifts, EKFB inducted would be an advantage.

Pay: £22.00 per hour
