The Company

Fluid Transfer's state-of-the-art refuelling solutions are used by aviation, marine and military organisations around the globe.

Fluid Transfer manufactures a wide variety of World-Class Refuelling Vehicles including Hydrant Dispensers, Pit Cleaners and Aircraft Refuellers, for many applications, ranging from 5,000 Litres for general aviation purposes up to 65,000 Litres high flow units with elevating platforms, ideal for refuelling the latest wide body passenger and cargo aircraft such as the A380 and Boeing B777-X.

Job Role

We're seeking a Highly Skilled TIG Welder to join our team producing aircraft refuellers for top global brands.

What you'll be doing:

Working with stainless steel pipework and flanges
Using initiative to assemble complex pipework
Collaborating with our design team to develop tooling that improves production processes
Cutting, welding, and finishing to a high standard
Contributing to Health & Safety best practices in the workshop

Essential:

Knowledge of welding processes including MIG and TIG
Physically fit and able to carry out manual tasks including lifting and carrying
Live within easy commuting distance of Nailsworth, GL6
Strong work ethic and a can-do attitude
Able to read design/manufacturing drawings accurately
Understanding of industry Health and Safety practices
Experienced in the use of overhead cranes and slinging if required
Eye for detail and can pass product to next department at a high standard
Works well unsupervised and can weld in all positions
References and previous welder coding
Have your own transport

Compensation & Benefits

Pay & Incentives:

Hourly rate: £15.00 to £17.00 (dependent on experience)
Overtime opportunities

23 days annual leave plus bank holidays - Increasing to 24 days after 5 years' service - Increasing to 25 days after 10 years' service

Schedule:

40 Hours per week (with additional earning available with overtime)

Monday to Thursday = 07:30am to 16:30pm

Friday = 07:30am to 14:00pm

Location: In person at our Nailsworth Mills Estate facility, Stroud
