Full job description

Role Purpose

The Experienced Buyer will support Ovarro’s procurement and supply chain activities by ensuring the timely, cost-effective and compliant purchase of materials, components, services and consumables required to support operational delivery. The role requires a commercially aware procurement professional who can manage supplier relationships, maintain accurate purchasing data, resolve supply issues and contribute to improved supplier performance, cost control and continuity of supply.

Key Responsibilities

Raise, manage and expedite purchase orders for direct materials, components, consumables and services in line with business requirements and MRP demand.
Work closely with suppliers to secure competitive pricing, reliable delivery performance and appropriate commercial terms.
Monitor open purchase orders, chase acknowledgements, resolve delivery risks and ensure materials are available when required.
Maintain accurate supplier, purchasing and item data within ERP/MRP systems, supporting clean master data and reliable planning outputs.
Support supplier onboarding, approval and evaluation activities in line with Ovarro procurement procedures and document control requirements.
