Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef/Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, supervising kitchen operations, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional dining experiences. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in food production and hospitality to showcase their leadership and culinary expertise in a professional environment. The Chef/Cook will play a vital role in maintaining food safety standards while inspiring team members to achieve excellence in every aspect of food service.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to maintain efficient operations.
Oversee food production processes, ensuring timely delivery of meals during service hours.
Manage food safety protocols, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation practices.
Assist in menu planning and development to meet customer preferences and dietary requirements.
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and minimise waste through effective stock management.
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment in compliance with health regulations.
Lead by example in demonstrating professionalism, teamwork, and dedication to quality.

Qualifications

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Supervising experience is highly desirable, with demonstrated leadership skills.
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene regulations.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure.
Good communication skills to effectively lead a team and liaise with other departments.
Passion for culinary arts with a creative approach to menu development.
Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is preferred but not essential.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.

Pay: £12.71-£16.00 per hour
