Full job description

Office & People Team Administrator

Full time, 37.5 hours per week

£29,000 per annum (full time equivalent salary)

Plus non contractual bonus of up to 10%

Based at our offices in Hessle

We are looking for an experienced administrator to join our newly formed central Governance and Administration team on a permanent basis.

Normal working hours are 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday to be worked between the hours of 9.00am-5.30pm.

The role

As an Office & People Team Administrator, you will be responsible for providing high-quality administrative and coordination support across the business, acting as a central point of contact within the Governance and Administration function. You will support senior leaders, office operations and people administration activities, ensuring an efficient and professional service is delivered across the Group.

The role will include:

Managing diaries, meetings and travel arrangements for senior leaders.
Coordinating office facilities, suppliers, contractors and day-to-day workplace operations.
Supporting company events, employee engagement activities and internal communications.
Providing end-to-end recruitment administration, from advertising vacancies through to arranging interviews.
Supporting onboarding and offboarding processes, including preparing documentation and coordinating system access.
Administering employee lifecycle processes such as contractual changes, absence management, family leave and probation reviews.
Maintaining accurate employee records and ensuring confidentiality at all times.
Monitoring compliance requirements including right to work checks, DBS renewals, licence checks and visa tracking.
Processing payroll-related administration, ensuring data is accurate and submitted within required deadlines.
Managing employee benefits, recognition schemes and learning management system administration.
Providing first-line support for employee queries and escalating matters where appropriate.
Producing people-related reports and supporting business improvement projects as required.

About you:

We're looking for someone who is highly organised, detail-oriented and confident working in a fast-paced environment. You will be comfortable managing multiple priorities, building positive relationships and delivering exceptional administrative support.

You will bring:

Previous experience in an administrative or senior administrative role.
Experience of managing multiple tasks, deadlines and competing priorities.
Strong organisational and diary management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience of office administration, facilities coordination or supplier management.
Experience supporting recruitment and employee lifecycle administration.
Familiarity with HR systems and handling confidential employee information.
Experience responding to employee queries relating to HR processes, policies and benefits.
A proactive, solution-focused approach with a willingness to take ownership and see tasks through to completion.
Professionalism, discretion and integrity when handling sensitive information.
The ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to changing business needs.
