Full job description

Office Manager & Finance Coordinator

Location: Cheltenham, Gloucestershire
Salary: Up to £35,000 depending on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm
Position: Full-time, permanent

Forbes George Ltd is growing, and we're looking for an experienced Office Manager & Finance Coordinator to join our team in Cheltenham.

We're an established and growing electrical, plumbing, heating, air conditioning and renewable energy company, working across both domestic and commercial sectors.

This is a key position within the business and would suit someone who enjoys taking ownership, keeping things organised and being at the centre of a busy and friendly team.

The Role

You'll be responsible for supporting the day-to-day running of the office alongside a range of finance and administrative responsibilities, including:

Managing supplier invoices and payments
Bank reconciliations and credit control
Day-to-day use of Xero
Processing purchase orders
Supporting job costing and financial administration
Managing general office administration
Liaising with customers and suppliers
Supporting our operations team, engineers and directors
Maintaining accurate business and financial records
Helping improve our office systems and processes as we continue to grow

About You

We're looking for someone with previous experience in office management, bookkeeping, accounts or finance administration.

You will need to be confident and experienced using Xero, as this is essential for the role.

Ideally, you'll have:

Excellent organisational skills
Strong attention to detail
Confidence taking responsibility and working independently
Good communication skills with customers, suppliers and colleagues
A positive and proactive attitude
The ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload
A willingness to get involved and be part of a close-knit team

Experience within construction, engineering or the trades would be advantageous but isn't essential.

Experience using Simpro would also be an advantage, although training can be provided.
