Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Coordinator to oversee and organise care services within a senior care environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating personalised care plans, supervising care staff, and ensuring the highest standards of service are maintained. This role offers an opportunity to lead a team in delivering exceptional care and support to our residents, fostering a safe and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, leadership qualities, and experience in supervising care staff within a care home setting.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and regularly review personalised care plans tailored to individual residents’ needs.
Coordinate daily care activities ensuring timely and appropriate service delivery.
Supervise and support care staff, providing guidance and leadership to ensure high standards of care are maintained.
Liaise effectively with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to facilitate comprehensive care provision.
Organise staff rotas and allocate resources efficiently to meet the needs of the care home.
Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and quality standards.
Assist with the training and development of team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Utilise IT systems for documentation, scheduling, and communication purposes efficiently.
Drive organisational initiatives aimed at improving resident satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Requirements

Proven experience in senior care or a similar role within a care home environment.
Supervising or leadership experience in a healthcare setting is essential.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an empathetic approach towards residents and their families.
Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation needs if required.
Knowledge of care planning processes and relevant legislation governing adult social care.
Proficiency in IT systems used for documentation and communication within healthcare settings.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team whilst demonstrating initiative when needed.

Pay: £14.00-£15.00 per hour
