Full job description

Furniture Link is a well established importer and wholesaler supplying furniture to retailers across the UK and Ireland. We are seeking to appoint an experienced Customer Account Administrator to work at our Head Office near Telford. The ideal candidate will have a bubbly and engaging personality, be customer focused, able to create sales opportunities and possess excellent administration skills.

Key objectives of the role

To increase number of customers and sales turnover to achieve company targets
To support Area Sales Manager's in providing 'above and beyond' customer service
To provide excellent sales order processing and administrative support skills

Key Responsibilities:

To create and maintain customer databases, provide administration support and promote a healthy sales environment.

Make and receive calls to existing and lapsed customers to increase sales, promote new products and special offers
Maintaining and updating customer databases, performing credit control duties and processing customer payments
To process promptly sales orders and manage stock efficiently
To plan and route multi-drop sales deliveries to maximise efficiency
To book in sales deliveries with customers to minimise failures
Work to daily/weekly targets to achieve required business growth
To work closely with our Area Sales Managers (ASM’s) to maximise sales potential and convert opportunities
Have excellent product knowledge in order to promote products and advise customers regarding product selection
Dealing with third party couriers and delivery companies
Using external web portals and extranet sites to process and update customer orders and delivery arrangements
Have in-depth knowledge of the company and customer service processes
Assisting with presentation of Showroom and provision of hospitality when customers visit

Skills, knowledge and experience:

Confident, professional and friendly telephone manner

Minimum of 5 years experience of working in a customer service or administrative environment
Accurate data inputting skills
Excellent time management skills
Tenacious approach with a self-motivated attitude
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Ability to work on own initiative as well as with a diverse team
Must have strong PC skills including MS Office and be systems oriented
Experience of planning and routing multi-drop deliveries would be an advantage
