Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Care Worker to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals at there own homes. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting clients with their daily needs, promoting independence, and ensuring their safety and well-being. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while working within a supportive team.
Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
Support with medication administration in accordance with care plans and protocols
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements
Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being
Monitor and report on clients’ health status, behaviour, and progress
Assist with mobility and transfer using appropriate techniques and equipment
Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, including updates to care plans
Support clients with household tasks such as laundry, light cleaning, and shopping errands if required
Implement behaviour management strategies to support clients with dementia or other behavioural challenges
Uphold health and safety standards, including infection control procedures and manual handling protocols
Qualifications
Previous experience in a care environment such as care home or home care is desirable
Knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
Certification in first aid is preferred but not essential; training can be provided for the right candidate
Experience in Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, or hospice care is advantageous
Ability to work independently and as part of a team within a caring environment
Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients of all ages
Valid driving licence is desirable for roles involving community-based support or patient transport
Physical ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary and assist with mobility tasks

Pay: £14.00-£14.50 per hour
