To undertake a range of business support duties in support of Planning. The role sits within the Planning Business Support team, with responsibility for delivering a wide range of essential administrative functions that support the effective and efficient operation of the service.

The post holder will contribute to the implementation of service plans and support the delivery of service standards and performance targets. All duties will be carried out in line with relevant regulations, policies, and agreed service standards

Essential criteria for the role

Minimum of two years’ experience of administration in a regulatory environment
Experience of working in a customer focused team

Good IT skills including the use of computer databases and Microsoft Office

Experience of working to targets and deadlines

Experience of dealing with purchase orders and invoices

Good verbal and written communication skills

Ability to understand complex processes

Your essential qualifications

Educated to GCSE level with Grade C in Maths and English or equivalent qualifications or level of experience

Key responsibilities for the role

Undertake all necessary consultation for planning applications within required timeframes (neighbour letter, site notice, press advert, electronic notification)
Issue planning decisions, tree work decisions and planning pre-application advice letters within required timeframes
Undertake a range of support tasks relating to the administration of planning appeals

Undertake other business support tasks as required.
