Full job description

This is a great opportunity to take on the next steps in your hospitality career and be part of our hotel reception team at Theobalds Hotel. In a new era in hospitality, make your mark and really drive it forwards, embracing our ‘Ownership with Personality’ values.

As a Hotel Receptionist, you will be at the heart of our guest experience, supporting the smooth operation of a busy 75 room hotel (and expanding). We’re looking for Hotel Receptionists with a positive and calm outlook, a friendly approach, who communicates effectively both verbally and in writing, has great attention to detail and a desire to provide exceptional customer service.

To shine as our Hotel Receptionist you should have previous experience of working within a hotel reception and knowledge of hotel reservations systems. You should also have good natural sales ability, an approachable manner, and knowledge of the MS Office suite.

As a Hotel Receptionist duties will include:

Taking reservations
Dealing with guests’ enquiries and assistance
Check-ins and check-outs
Taking payments and maintaining confidentiality of guest information
answering calls and emails and ensuring a high level of customer service at all times
Upselling hotel services such as room upgrades and dining
Work closely with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure rooms are prepared and guest issues are resolved promptly
