Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Timber Workshop Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining woodworking machinery to produce high-quality timber components. Your expertise will help ensure precision fabrication, efficient workflow, and adherence to safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to custom timber projects, utilizing your mechanical skills and passion for craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

Operate a variety of woodworking machines, including milling machines, saws, and moulders, to shape and assemble timber products.
Handle materials safely within the warehouse environment, ensuring proper storage, movement, and handling of raw materials and finished products.
Maintain machinery by performing routine inspections, troubleshooting issues and conducting basic repairs or adjustments as needed.
Follow safety protocols diligently while working with welding equipment or during fabrication processes.

Requirements

Proven experience in fabrication, machining, or woodworking environments with hands-on knowledge of milling, assembly, and materials handling.
Mechanical knowledge related to tooling setup, machine calibration, and maintenance procedures.
Ability to operate hand tools safely and efficiently within a warehouse or workshop setting.
Strong grasp of basic math skills necessary for precise measurements and calculations during fabrication processes.
Previous warehouse experience is preferred for understanding inventory management and materials flow.
Excellent attention to detail combined with good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
