Overview

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Dental Nurse / Oral Health Champion, where your passion for patient care and oral health will make a meaningful difference in the community. In this vital role, you will support dental practitioners by providing exceptional patient care, promoting oral health education, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills within a friendly, professional environment dedicated to improving dental health outcomes.

Duties

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety at all times
Deliver high-quality patient care by preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing equipment, and managing dental supplies efficiently
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care by visiting the premises once a week 30-40£/ hour one hour/week.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using IT systems, adhering to confidentiality standards
Support appointment scheduling, patient communication, and follow-up processes to ensure a seamless patient experience
Collaborate with the team to uphold infection control protocols and clinic cleanliness standards
Communicate clearly with patients in English, addressing questions and providing reassurance throughout their visit

Requirements

Proven experience in patient care within a healthcare or dental setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
Strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with patients and team members
Good organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Basic IT literacy for maintaining electronic health records and appointment systems
Knowledge of nursing principles or previous nursing experience is advantageous but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is essential
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while demonstrating professionalism and empathy
A genuine interest in promoting oral health and supporting community well-being
