Founded by former Michelin-starred chef Paul Rhodes in 2003, Paul Rhodes Bakery has built a strong reputation as the go-to supplier of quality handcrafted sourdoughs, cakes and pastries in the capital. Paul’s ambition when he started the bakery was simple: to provide London’s busy chefs with the best handcrafted bread, made from the finest ingredients possible and traditional techniques.

Today, as the bakery heads towards twenty-five years in business, the goal remains the same and this ambition underpins everything we do. We have both a wholesale business supplying some of London’s top restaurants, hotels, cafés, and entertainment venues, as well as our local retail bakery shop which is based a ten-minute walk up the road, in Greenwich Market.

Job Overview:
We are hiring multiple Pastry Assistants on a 2-month contract to help create one of the season’s favorites—mince pies! You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring our festive bakes are produced to the highest standard and on time, while working in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Create festive mince pies ahead of the Christmas rush.
Ensure all pies meet our set quality standards and are produced according to daily orders.
Handle large production volumes efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and well-maintained.

Personal Attributes & Skills:

No baking experience needed, would be appreciated if you have one but not compulsory.
Previous experience working in a professional kitchen or food production environment.
Comfortable operating electric bread ovens.
Knowledge of food safety, health, and hygiene regulations.
Ability to multitask, plan, and manage high-volume production.

Contract Details:

Contract length: 2 months.
Shifts: 8/9 AM – 5/6 PM, 5 days per week .
Pay: £12.71 per hour.
