We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and organised person to join our team as a Personal Assistant to the Recruitment Manager
This is a varied, hands-on role supporting a manager involved in business travel, promotions and recruitment.
Previous PA, secretarial or recruitment experience is NOT essential. Full training and guidance will be provided.
We are more interested in your attitude, energy, organisation and ability to deal confidently with people than whether you have previously worked in this exact type of role.
The position will initially be part-time, with the potential to develop into a full-time position for the right person.
THE ROLE
You will provide practical administrative and organisational support to a manager who is regularly involved in business travel and promotional recruitment.
This is not a conventional desk-based PA role. The work can be varied and may involve recruitment, promotions, events, meeting new people, organising activities, travel and a range of practical day-to-day tasks.
Your duties may include:
- Helping organise the manager's diary, appointments and activities
- Making and receiving telephone calls
- Speaking with prospective recruits
- Following up applicants and recruitment enquiries
- Helping coordinate new recruits
- Sending emails and messages
- Maintaining contact lists and basic records
- Arranging calls and meetings
- Helping organise promotional and recruitment activities
- Assisting with travel and practical arrangements
- Running errands when required
- Helping with everyday organisational tasks
- Carrying out other ad-hoc tasks as required
The role is varied, practical and people-focused.
A PEOPLE PERSON
A major part of the role involves communicating with people.
You should enjoy:

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
You do not need previous PA, secretarial or recruitment experience.

EXPERIENCE
Previous experience is useful but not essential.
Experience in any of the following could be helpful:

Hospitality / social events

- Recruitment
However, enthusiasm, reliability and people skills are more important than having a long CV.
LANGUAGES – BONUS ONLY
Additional languages are a bonus but are NOT essential.
We would particularly welcome candidates who speak or understand:
- Spanish / other Hispanic languages
- Portuguese
- Tagalog / Filipino languages
Cultural familiarity with Hispanic, Lusophone (Portuguese-speaking) or Filipino communities can also be useful.
You do not need to speak any additional language to apply.
OPTIONAL TRAVEL
There may be opportunities to accompany or support promotional and recruitment activities involving travel.
The ability and willingness to travel within the UK and potentially internationally would therefore be an advantage, but travel is not an essential requirement of the role.
There may also be opportunities for optional stay-in promotional assignments when travelling with the team.
Any travel or stay-in arrangements will be discussed and agreed in advance.
TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT
Full training and guidance will be provided.
You will learn how to:
- Support recruitment activities
- Communicate with prospective recruits
- Manage administrative tasks
- Organise schedules and appointments
- Use relevant communication systems
- Support promotional activities
- Assist with business travel and logistics
- Work directly with management
This is intended to be a role where you can learn while working and develop into greater responsibility over time.
WORKING ARRANGEMENT
Part-time initially, with the potential to progress to full-time.
Flexible working arrangements are available where practical.
The role may occasionally require flexibility around meetings, recruitment activities, promotional work or travel.
