Full job description

As a Team Member at Rest Up Hostel, you will be at the heart of creating an exceptional experience for our guests. You’ll embody the values that make our hostel unique—positivity, proactivity, teamwork, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The history of Driscoll House is integral to who we are, and as part of our team, you will help tell the stories and make our visitors feel part of that legacy.

We are looking for superb reception team members! From assisting with check-ins to providing recommendations on local attractions, you will serve as a guide, host and friend to those staying with us.

Key Responsibilities:

Guest Services: Greet guests with a warm and friendly attitude, assist with check-ins and check-outs, and provide information about the hostel and local area.
Building Knowledge: Share the history and significance of Driscoll House & with guests, creating engaging and memorable interactions.
Multitasking: Handle various tasks throughout the day, including answering phone calls, managing booking inquiries, maintaining the front desk and assisting in common areas.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, while maintaining a positive and cooperative work environment.
Problem-Solving: Address guest requests or concerns in a proactive and helpful manner, ensuring the highest level of satisfaction.
Housekeeping Assistance: Assist with light housekeeping duties as needed to ensure that the hostel's common spaces remains clean, welcoming and well-maintained for all guests.
Event Support: Participate in hostel events or community activities, fostering a lively atmosphere and encouraging interaction among guests.
Safety & Security: Ensure the safety and security of guests and teams alike, by following hostel protocols and monitoring the premises when necessary.

What We’re Looking For:

Positive Attitude: A bright, welcoming personality that thrives in a social, guest-facing environment. We’re looking for someone who enjoys interacting with people and can bring good energy to every shift.
Proactive & Solution-Oriented: The ability to anticipate guest needs, solve problems quickly, and keep things running smoothly, even when the hostel is busy.
Great Multitasker: Ability to juggle multiple tasks while maintaining focus on guest experience and the needs of the hostel.
Team Player: A collaborative spirit and the ability to work harmoniously with others to create a fun, efficient, and supportive work environment.
Experience in Hospitality (Preferred but not required): While prior experience in the hospitality industry is a plus, we value personality and attitude above all else. We'll provide training to help you succeed!
