Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Raw Meat Prep Worker to join our food production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing raw meat products in accordance with food safety standards and company procedures. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for culinary arts and food preparation to develop their skills within a professional kitchen environment. The position is paid and suitable for those seeking hands-on experience in the food industry.

Duties

Cutting, trimming, and portioning raw meat products to specified sizes and weights
Ensuring all meat is prepared in line with health and safety regulations
Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including sanitising equipment and surfaces
Assisting with inventory management by organising stock and noting supplies needed
Adhering to food safety protocols at all times, including proper storage and handling of raw meat
Collaborating with the culinary team to support overall food production goals
Following precise recipes and specifications provided by senior staff or supervisors

Skills

Previous experience in food production, culinary arts, or a related field is desirable
Knowledge of butchery techniques and food preparation processes
Strong understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Experience working in a restaurant or kitchen environment is advantageous
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
Good organisational skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks effectively
