Online Assistant

Rate: £14.54 per hour
Location: Alperton Store, Wembley, HA0 1PF
Hours: Part time, 12 hours per week

As one of our Online Assistants, you’ll be the special ingredient that supports a joyful shopping experience for our online customers, so they get everything they shop at Sainsbury’s for.

Eligibility:

You must be above the school-leaver age in your country School leaving age - GOV.UK
If the shifts for this role cover hours earlier than 6am or later than 11pm, you will need to be at least 18 years of age.
You must have Right to Work eligibility in the UK

Key Responsibilities

Loading delivery vans efficiently to ensure orders are dispatched on time
Confident with heavy lifting as totes can carry up to 15kg.
Marshalling and organising totes in correct numerical order for delivery routes
Working in temperature-controlled environments including chiller and freezer areas
Picking customer orders accurately from the shop floor
Packing orders securely to maintain product quality during transport

Cleaning & Maintenance Duties

Carrying out general cleaning duties, including sweeping floors
Cleaning and maintaining bins to hygiene standards
Washing totes and ensuring they are ready for reuse
Cleaning inside delivery vans, including the driver cab, to maintain cleanliness and safety

Comfortable in learning to use new digital tools and technology to do your job brilliantly and moving shopping containers up to 15KG.
Have great attention to detail, keeping the store clean and clutter free, always looking to create the best shopping experience for our customers
