Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Cook/Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a keen eye for food safety and presentation. This role offers an exciting opportunity to craft delicious meals in a professional kitchen environment, contributing to a memorable dining experience for our guests. The successful applicant will be organised, efficient, and dedicated to maintaining high standards of hygiene and quality.

Additional hours may be available if required.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
Assist in menu planning and ingredient sourcing as needed
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing up and sanitising surfaces
Monitor stock levels and notify management of any shortages or expiry dates
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction
Manage multiple orders simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
Contribute to the development of new recipes and culinary techniques to enhance menu offerings

Qualifications

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene
Experience working in a restaurant or catering setting is highly desirable
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
Passion for culinary arts and a desire to continually improve skills
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
