Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and eager Trainee Welder/Fabricator to join our team. This entry-level position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop essential skills in welding and fabrication within a supportive environment. As a trainee, you will gain hands-on experience working alongside experienced professionals, learning the fundamentals of welding, metal fabrication, and assembly processes. This paid role is perfect for individuals passionate about craftsmanship, eager to learn, and ready to kick-start a career in metalworking and fabrication.

Responsibilities

Assist with basic welding tasks using MIG welding techniques and welding methods under supervision
Support fabrication activities involving sheet metal cutting, shaping, and assembly
Use hand tools and power tools safely to prepare materials for welding and fabrication projects
Learn to interpret technical drawings and measurements for accurate assembly and fabrication
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards at all times
Participate in training sessions to develop mechanical knowledge and improve welding skills
Support team members in completing projects efficiently while gaining practical experience in metalworking processes

Skills

Basic understanding of MIG welding and welding techniques
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal handling
Strong interest in fabrication, assembly, and metalworking processes
Good mechanical knowledge with the ability to follow instructions accurately
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks
Ability to learn quickly, work safely, and collaborate effectively within a team
Willingness to develop proficiency in welding, fabrication, and the use of various tools over time
