Full job description

Opportunity at RRG Toyota Stockport - Accounts Assistant
Full time position working 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday.
Salary £26,436.80

We are looking for an organised, detail-oriented Trainee Accounts Assistant to join our team at RRG Toyota Stockport. The ideal candidate will support our Accounts Department in managing daily accounting tasks, including maintaining financial records, processing invoices, and Invoice Processing: Process purchase invoices, sales invoices, and credit notes, ensuring timely and accurate entry into the accounting system. Bank Reconciliation: Assist in the reconciliation of dealership bank accounts, ensuring all transactions are recorded and discrepancies are resolved. Payments: Process and manage payments to suppliers and reconcile supplier statements to ensure accounts are up to date. Reporting: Generate financial reports, such as sales and expense reports, and assist with ad hoc financial analysis as requested by management. Liaising with Departments: Work closely with the sales, service, and parts departments to ensure accurate financial information and resolve any discrepancies. Filing and Documentation: Maintain and update financial records, ensuring all documents are filed and stored correctly. Daily banking and Credit Control.

Key Skills include previous experience in an accounting role, ideally within the automotive or retail industry but not essential. IT Skills: Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word). Numerical Skills: Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail. Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders. Team Player: Ability to work well within a team while also being able to work independently when required.
