Tearoom Manager – Furzey Gardens

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £28,002 per annum

Shifts: Between Monday to Sunday (Weekend Availability Required)

Nestled in the heart of the New Forest, Furzey Gardens is a place where people come to relax, reconnect with nature and enjoy delicious homemade food. Every cup of tea served, and every slice of cake helps support Minstead Trust's work with people with learning disabilities.

We're looking for an enthusiastic, creative and commercially minded Tea Room Manager to lead our welcoming team, deliver outstanding customer experiences and grow a thriving social enterprise that changes lives.

What you'll do

You'll lead the day-to-day operation of our Tea Rooms, balancing commercial success with our charitable purpose. You'll inspire a team of staff, volunteers and people with learning disabilities, creating a welcoming environment where everyone can thrive.

The role includes:

Leading a busy tearoom in a beautiful visitor attraction.
Delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining high hospitality standards.
Managing and developing a fantastic team of staff and volunteers.
Supporting training opportunities for people with learning disabilities.
Developing seasonal menus, special events and creative ideas to grow income.
Managing budgets, stock, rotas and day-to-day business performance.
Maintaining excellent food hygiene, health and safety and legal compliance.
Working with colleagues across Minstead Trust to help our social enterprises flourish.

About you

You'll have experience managing a café, restaurant or food retail business and be someone who enjoys leading people, solving problems and creating memorable visitor experiences.

You'll bring:

Strong hospitality and customer service skills.
Great leadership and organisational ability.
Commercial awareness and confidence managing budgets.
A creative approach to developing new ideas and events.
A positive, flexible attitude and the confidence to take responsibility.

Experience supporting people with learning disabilities is welcome but not essential, we'll provide training if you have the right values and enthusiasm.
