Full job description

Ultimate Ear Protection is the leading U.K manufacturer of custom made hearing protection based in Orpington, Kent. Due to strong business growth we are looking to hire an office assistant on a permanent basis.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office as well as an exceptional experience for our customers. The successful candidate will also be enthusiastic and dedicated to contributing to the long term growth of this family run business.

37.5 hours per week, 9am to 5pm with a 30-minute lunch break.

Key Responsibilities

Dealing with incoming and outgoing post in an efficient manner
Answering incoming phone calls with a positive attitude
Organising ear impression appointments for customers with third party audiologists
Organising travel, accommodation and trade shows for staff and the business generally
Ordering office and production supplies and managing inventory control systems
Processing orders and dealing with any customer queries in a timely and professional manner
Provide administrative support to management as required

Key Requirements and Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Qualifications to GCSE level or equivalent, and ideally to A Level. Strong English and Maths skills required
Ability to multi-task and work in a high pressure environment
Strong attention to detail
Ability to take initiative and work alone as well as in a team
Ability to suggest and implement improvements to office systems and procedures

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £28,860.00-£30,000.00 per year

Education:

GCSE or equivalent (required)
