Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista/Waitress to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, preparing and serving beverages and food items, and ensuring a welcoming environment for all customers. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food service, contributing to a positive customer experience. The position is paid and suitable for individuals who are passionate about hospitality and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

Prepare a variety of hot and cold beverages in accordance with company standards, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks.
Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Take accurate orders from customers, ensuring clear communication with the kitchen and baristas.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the service area, including sanitising work surfaces and utensils regularly.
Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the till system efficiently.
Provide friendly assistance to customers, answering questions about menu items and making recommendations.
Follow food safety standards diligently to ensure the health and safety of all patrons.
Assist with basic food preparation tasks as required, such as assembling sandwiches or snacks.
Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve all customers promptly without compromising quality.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a barista or waitress is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates eager to learn.
Knowledge of food safety regulations is desirable to uphold hygiene standards.
Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently during peak hours.
Strong communication skills with a friendly demeanour to engage positively with customers.
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
A proactive attitude with a willingness to assist colleagues as part of a team.
